Project Overview

The client operates a high-density colocation platform serving hyperscale and enterprise tenants across the Asia-Pacific region. Rising demand required an accelerated expansion of two adjacent facilities without disrupting live operations or breaching existing tenant SLAs.

Allied was engaged to coordinate design, construction delivery, and commissioning across both sites, working alongside the client’s internal engineering group and a distributed supply chain spanning four countries.

Our Approach

We established a single delivery framework covering scope definition, interface management, and commissioning readiness, then embedded that framework with each contractor so decisions were made against one shared programme rather than several competing ones.

Long-lead equipment was pulled forward and re-sequenced around the constraints of the regional supply chain, which absorbed most of the schedule risk before it could reach the critical path.

Allied brought engineering discipline and program rigor that we rarely see from external partners. Their ability to coordinate across two sites, manage complex supply chain constraints, and still deliver ahead of schedule gave us a genuine competitive advantage in the APAC market.

Key Results

Both halls were energised six weeks ahead of the contracted date, with integrated systems testing completed without a single Level 5 retest. Peak construction manpower was held 18% below the original plan through tighter trade sequencing, and every tenant SLA on the live side of the campus was maintained throughout.

Lessons Learned

The decisive factor was resolving interface ownership early. Once every boundary between contractors had a named owner and an agreed acceptance test, the volume of late-stage change requests dropped sharply — a pattern we now build into the commissioning strategy from day one.
