This policy explains which cookies Allied Data Centre sets when you visit this website, what each one is for, and how you can change your mind at any time.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your browser on a later request — for example to remember a preference you set, or to remember that you have already answered this cookie notice.

Cookies we set

We keep this list short on purpose. We set only what the site needs to work and what you have explicitly asked for.

• adc-cookie-consent — stores your choices from this notice, so we do not ask again on every page, and so a "no" is actually honoured. Strictly necessary. Kept for 6 months, after which we ask again.
• adc-region — remembers the region you selected in the site header, so you continue to see content for that region. Functional. Written only when you pick a region yourself. Kept for 12 months.
• adc-locale — remembers the language you selected in the site header. Functional. Written only when you pick a language yourself. Kept for 12 months.

If you do not choose a region or language, neither preference cookie is written, and the site falls back to the region indicated by your connection.

Analytics and marketing

We do not currently set any analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The corresponding options in your cookie settings are switched off by default and remain off unless you turn them on. If we introduce such tools in future, they will not run until you have opted in, and we will ask you again rather than relying on consent given before they existed.

Cookies set while editing

Signed-in editors previewing unpublished content receive short-lived cookies from our content management system for the duration of that preview. These are strictly necessary for the preview to work and are never set for ordinary visitors.

Your choices

You can accept or reject optional cookies when you first arrive, and change that decision at any time from the cookie settings page. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it: turning a category off clears the cookies it covered.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as intended.

Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working website. All other cookies are set only with your consent, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Directive.

Changes to this policy

If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above. Where the change is material, we will ask for your consent again.
